1. Mixing Tanks (Emulsifying Tanks)
◦ Material: Contact parts are made of food-grade SUS316L stainless steel (resistant to acidic/alkaline cosmetic ingredients like fruit acids and surfactants), with inner walls mirror-polished (Ra ≤ 0.2 μm) to avoid ingredient adsorption and facilitate CIP cleaning.
◦ Agitation & Emulsification System: Equipped with a triple-layer agitator (frame-type for wall scraping, paddle-type for bulk mixing, and high-shear homogenizer for emulsification) with variable frequency speed control (10–3000 r/min). The high-shear rotor-stator structure breaks down oil-water phases into fine particles (1–50 μm), ensuring stable emulsification of creams and lotions without stratification.
◦ Jacket & Temperature Control: Full jacket design supports heating (up to 80°C) or cooling (down to 5°C) via thermal oil or glycol circulation, ideal for melting waxes, dissolving thickeners, or stabilizing heat-sensitive ingredients (e.g., vitamins, plant extracts).
◦ Vacuum Function: Most models feature a vacuum system (-0.06 to -0.09 MPa) to eliminate air bubbles in formulations, preventing oxidation and ensuring a smooth, glossy texture of cosmetics.
2. Storage Tanks
◦ Structure: Closed sanitary design with air filters (0.22 μm) on breathing ports to prevent microbial contamination; some are equipped with nitrogen blanketing systems for long-term storage of oxidation-sensitive products (e.g., anti-aging serums).
◦ Insulation & Mobility: Outer wall insulation with PU foam maintains stable storage temperatures; small-capacity tanks (50–500L) can be fitted with casters for flexible workshop layout, while large tanks (1000–10000L) are fixed with support legs.
◦ Accessories: Standard configurations include level sensors, sampling valves, and sanitary discharge valves; some tanks add agitators with low-speed stirring (5–20 r/min) to prevent sedimentation of suspended ingredients (e.g., exfoliating beads, mineral powders).
