1. Material Selection
◦ Main body: Food-grade SUS304 stainless steel for general edible oils; SUS316L stainless steel for high-acid oils (e.g., linseed oil, perilla oil) to enhance corrosion resistance.
◦ Inner wall: Mirror-polished (Ra ≤ 0.4 μm) for easy cleaning and to avoid oil residue adhesion; outer wall can be coated with anti-corrosion paint or wrapped with insulation materials.
2. Structural Design
◦ Closed structure: Equipped with a sealed manway and a 0.22 μm air filter on the breathing port to prevent dust, bacteria, and moisture from entering, which avoids oil rancidity caused by contact with air.
◦ Jacket or coil insulation: Some models have a jacket/coil structure for temperature control (storage temperature recommended at 15–25°C) to reduce the impact of high temperature on oil quality; nitrogen blanketing systems are optional for long-term storage of premium oils, isolating oxygen completely.
◦ Bottom design: Sloped bottom or conical bottom for complete discharge of oil, with a sanitary ball valve or butterfly valve at the outlet for smooth, residue-free flow.
3. Key Accessories
◦ Level gauge: Float-type or radar level gauge for real-time monitoring of oil volume, supporting automatic alarm for high/low levels.
◦ Sampling valve: Installed at the lower part of the tank for regular oil quality testing (acidity value, peroxide value).
◦ Cleaning ports: CIP cleaning ball for automated cleaning, eliminating the need for manual entry and reducing contamination risks.
