1. Material & Surface Treatment
Contact parts are exclusively made of food-grade SUS316L stainless steel—its excellent corrosion resistance avoids chemical reactions with corn oil’s fatty acids, while the inner wall is mirror-polished (Ra ≤ 0.4 μm) to eliminate micro-crevices where oil residues could oxidize; the outer wall is often coated with a matte anti-reflective finish or wrapped in UV-blocking insulation to prevent light-induced degradation.
2. Structural Design for Freshness Preservation
◦ Closed, airtight structure: Equipped with a nitrogen blanketing system (inert gas filling) to displace air and isolate oxygen, the primary cause of corn oil rancidity; breathing ports are fitted with 0.22 μm hydrophobic filters to block moisture and contaminants.
◦ Temperature control: Full jacket or coil insulation with glycol circulation maintains a stable storage temperature of 10–15°C—this inhibits the activity of lipase enzymes and slows down oxidation, extending the oil’s shelf life by 6–12 months.
◦ Bottom configuration: Sloped or conical bottom with a sanitary ball valve at the lowest point enables complete discharge of oil, avoiding stagnant residues at the tank bottom that could spoil and contaminate fresh batches.
3. Key Accessories
Standard fittings include a top-mounted manway with a gasket seal for inspection and cleaning, a radar level gauge for non-contact volume monitoring (avoids oil disturbance), a sampling valve at mid-height (for representative quality testing), and a CIP cleaning ball for automated, residue-free cleaning between batches.
Ideal for corn oil mills, specialty food processors, and bulk distributors, suitable for storing extra virgin corn oil (EVOO), virgin corn oil, and refined corn oil—compatible with small-scale (500L) artisanal storage and large-scale (50,000L+) industrial warehousing.
