1. Storage Tanks
◦ Primarily used for short-term or long-term storage of finished or semi-finished fruit juices; common materials include stainless steel 304/316L (corrosion-resistant, easy to clean) and food-grade PE (lightweight, cost-effective for small-scale use).
◦ Equipped with temperature control jackets to maintain low temperatures (2–8°C), slowing down microbial growth and enzymatic browning.
2. Processing Tanks
◦ Function in juice clarification, blending, or pasteurization pre-treatment; integrated with agitators (gentle mixing to avoid pulp damage) and CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems for automated cleaning.
◦ Open-top designs are suitable for manual ingredient addition, while closed-top tanks prevent contamination and volatile flavor loss.
• Level sensors: Monitor juice volume in real time for production process control.
• Overflow pipes & drain valves: Ensure safe operation and easy discharge of residues.
• Manways: Provide access for internal inspection and maintenance.
