1. Material & Structure

Filter plates and frames are made of food-grade SUS304/SUS316L stainless steel (resistant to acidic/alkaline liquids) or polypropylene (lightweight, cost-effective for small-scale use); each plate has recessed channels to guide filtrate flow, and gaskets between plates ensure a leak-proof seal under pressure. The number of plates can be adjusted (typically 5–50) to match filtration capacity and particle removal requirements.

2. Filtration Principle & Operation

It operates in pressure filtration mode: feed liquid is pumped into the filter chamber at 0.2–0.6 MPa, forcing the liquid through the filter media while solid particles (e.g., yeast, pulp, sediment) are trapped on the media surface. Filtrate flows out through outlet ports on the plates, and the trapped solids form a filter cake that can be easily removed by disassembling the plate stack after filtration.

3. Filter Media & Application Flexibility

Interchangeable filter media are available to target different particle sizes (1–100 μm): filter cloth for coarse filtration (e.g., removing fruit pulp from juice), filter paper for medium filtration (e.g., clarifying beer), and microporous membranes for fine filtration (e.g., polishing cosmetic serums). It supports both batch and semi-continuous operation, with a filtration capacity ranging from 50 L/h to 5000 L/h depending on the model.

4. Key Accessories & Safety

Standard configurations include a pressure gauge to monitor filtration pressure, a drain valve to discharge residual liquid, a filter cake collection tray, and a CIP cleaning port for sanitizing plates and media. Safety features include pressure relief valves to prevent over-pressurization and a locking mechanism to secure the plate stack during operation.
